If you own or have access to a small water course have you thought about installing a small scale hydro turbine? We can design and install small schemes ranging from 1-3 KW these are similar in capacity to a standard domestic solar P.V. scheme but in the right location can run 24 hrs per day and provide nearly all of the domestic power in your house. With the addition of power management devices, it is possible to utilize nearly all of the power generated in your property making the imported power almost zero. This is of course dependent on the site conditions and available flow from your burn.
Under the right conditions a 1 kw generator could save you up to £1500 per year on your electricity bills.
Payback could be as low as 4 years for the right site.
